Grading Open Doors and Fees: September 24, 2026 Snapshot
Which PSA, CGC, TAG, Beckett and SGC grading services were open on Sep 24, 2026, what each costs, and what's paused, checked on each company's own site.

Update (afternoon, September 24, 2026): After this page was published, Beckett's maintenance page changed to say "Express Submissions Remain Open." Base and Standard submissions are now temporarily paused with a waitlist, and Express is still open through Beckett's temporary submission form. Prices didn't change ($17.95, $34.95 and $79.95). Our story on the pause has the details. The Beckett section below reflects the morning check, so go by the update for what's open.
This page lists which grading services were open on the morning of September 24, 2026, what each one costs, and what is paused. We checked every price on the grading company's own website. Compared with our September 23 snapshot, no major company changed its prices. Beckett is still taking submissions only through its temporary form while its website is down (background on the outage). The TAG Pokemon drop page still sends visitors to a waiting room (our story on the drop). New today: Beckett's form lists two more options, Base without subgrades at $14.95 and Priority at $124.95. Fees can change at any time, so check each company's page before you pay or ship.

What changed since September 23
No major company changed its prices. PSA, CGC and SGC fees are the same as on Sep 23. TAG still sells only Priority and Walkthrough grading as regular options, still doesn't list Standard in its store, and Beckett is still offline and taking submissions through its temporary form.
Beckett's form lists more options than before. Our Sep 23 snapshot listed Base ($17.95), Standard ($34.95) and Express ($79.95). On Sep 24 the same form also listed Base without subgrades at $14.95 (75+ business days) and Priority at $124.95 (5 business days). You still submit through the same form.
TAG's recovery numbers haven't moved. Its backlog tracker still shows the company working at about 63% of its current capacity, about 85% recovered from its peak backlog, and expecting to fully catch up in October. That tracker was last updated on Wednesday, Sep 16. The Pokemon drop page still sends visitors to a waiting room.
TAG still doesn't list Standard grading in its online store. That doesn't mean Standard is closed for good; it just can't be bought today.
TAG's store and pricing page disagree about Express. The store still lets you buy Express grading at $79.95, but the pricing page says regular tiers are paused. Go by what checkout actually lets you complete.
One leftover TAG listing is still for sale. A "Basic (9-16 drop)" listing from an earlier limited release still shows as available at $59.00. It's left over from that release and doesn't mean TAG's regular Basic tier has reopened.

How to choose: Standard at $59.99 is the cheapest PSA service you can order online while Value is paused. Priority costs $20 more and is worth it if you need the higher $1,500 insured value or the shorter 70-80 business-day estimate.
CGC: every tier open

CGC says its turnaround times are estimates in working days and are not guaranteed. Associate and Premium members save 10% on grading, and Elite members save 20%.

How to choose: every CGC tier is open with no pause notice. The cheap tiers, Bulk and Economy, carry long estimates (150 and 90 working days), so plan around that wait.
TAG: slowly recovering, with only two services open

TAG's backlog tracker still shows the company working at about 63% of its current capacity and about 85% recovered from its peak backlog, with a full catch-up expected in October. The tracker was last updated Wednesday, Sep 16. The Pokemon drop page sent us to a waiting room, so treat that limited release as capacity-limited rather than open to everyone.
How to choose: don't count on TAG for everyday submissions right now. Use Priority or Walkthrough only if checkout actually goes through, sign up for TAG's drop notifications if you want the next limited window, and check the backlog tracker before you plan around a turnaround time.
Beckett: website offline; temporary form prices

Beckett says its website and mobile app are still temporarily offline while it works on its systems. That morning, Base, Standard and Express were all available through the temporary form. Beckett's European submissions can't be made on this form. (That afternoon Beckett paused Base and Standard; see the update at the top.)

The form also says services include subgrades unless noted otherwise, and any card that grades a 10 automatically gets subgrades with a $3 upgrade fee. A submission can hold up to 100 cards, and Beckett charges you after it receives and reviews the order.
How to choose: budget with the prices and turnaround times the form shows on the day you submit. Beckett's website features are not back yet.
SGC: Standard still from $50

SGC's price table for standard-size raw cards, crossovers and reviews sets the fee by the card's maximum declared value, for Standard (40+ business days) and Expedited (2-3 business days):

SGC also notes that you add $375 for every $10,000 of card value over $100,000. Crossovers submitted without a minimum grade can take longer, and turnaround starts once your order is unboxed and logged. The page also lists reholder and oversized-card options, which we haven't included here.
How to choose: SGC Standard is a good fit if your card is declared at $1,500 or less ($50) or $3,500 or less ($85). Expedited starts at $150 if speed matters. SGC can change its pricing page without an announcement, so check it before you submit.
How to use this page
Cheapest options: PSA Standard at $59.99, CGC Bulk or Economy, or SGC Standard at $50 for cards declared at $1,500 or less. Beckett Base ($14.95 or $17.95) was on the form that morning but was paused that afternoon.
Fastest options: CGC Express or WalkThrough, PSA Express and up, Beckett Express at $79.95 or Priority at $124.95, SGC Expedited, or TAG Walkthrough at $299 if checkout goes through.
Paused or limited: PSA Value; TAG's regular Basic and Standard tiers; the TAG Pokemon drop (waiting room); Beckett's website and app (offline).

The bottom line
As of the morning of September 24, 2026, no major grading company had changed its prices since the day before. PSA's mid-priced tiers are open while Value stays paused, and CGC lists its full U.S. price chart. TAG sells Priority and Walkthrough while its regular tiers stay paused. Beckett takes submissions through its temporary form, now with $14.95 and $124.95 options too, though it paused Base and Standard later that day. SGC's Standard and Expedited prices are unchanged. FAQ
What changed since the September 23 snapshot?
Prices at PSA, CGC and SGC are the same, TAG still doesn't list Standard in its store, and Beckett is still using its temporary form. The one new detail is that Beckett's form now also lists Base without subgrades at $14.95 and Priority at $124.95.
Are Beckett.com and the Beckett app back?
No. Beckett's grading page still says its platforms are temporarily offline and sends collectors to the temporary submission form.
Can I submit TAG regular Basic or Standard today?
No. TAG's pricing page still says regular tiers are paused, and Standard isn't listed in its store. Priority ($149) and Walkthrough ($299) can be bought. Express and the leftover Basic drop listing also show as available in the store, so confirm in checkout before you ship.
What are SGC's cheapest Standard and Expedited options?
Standard (40+ business days) starts at $50 for cards declared at up to $1,500. Expedited (2-3 business days) starts at $150 for cards declared at up to $3,500. There's no Expedited option at the $1,500 level.
Is PSA Value a way to grade more cheaply?
Not right now. PSA still marks its Value services as temporarily paused and unavailable.
